Quick Festive Nails!

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a great time this Christmas! We've been so busy lately that we haven't really posted and Gracie's been sick for the past few days but luckily she is better today!
So, anyway, lately we've been obsessed with nails and recently ordered our beginner acrylic kit and we are waiting for it to arrive. So I've testing different nail styles these days and I came up with this quick and easy new year's celebration one!

Step 1
Begin with painting your nails golden. I used 2 different sparkcly nail polishes for this effect. I just love glittery nails

Step 2
With a dotting tool slowly make the shape of the 2014 on the nails. On the remaining nail I painted a simple heart shape. The white will really help the numbers stand out more!

Step 3
Carefully with a smaller doting tool paint the number and the heart over the white nail polish with a red nail polish. Of course you can try different color combinations if you wish but I thing golden and red are the most festive ones.

And that's it! Easy right?

I wish everyone a happy new year!!

Throwback Thursday #2

Hello everyone, in this week's throwback Thursday I'll be reminding you the time I had brown hair as well. These are additional photos that I took for my Curlformers review back then.I love curlformers! I mainly use them to straighten my hair since my hair is actually a lot curlier than that. After a while the curls loosen up creating a straighter result.
I have 2 different sets of curlformers. And yesterday I bought another one just because I had to try it out! It's the extra extra wide curlformers and they actually have a wider wand to pull the hair O.O
Amazing right? Well, when it gets here I will review it for you and hopefully the results will be awesome.
The awesome thing about curlformers is that they manage to keep the frizz away (at least for a day) which is a miracle for my hair!
So in the pictures here I use the regular curlformers as well as in this post.
But in the posts 1,2,3 I've used the wide curformers.
I must admit I always buy my curlformers off brand from aliexpress and ebay since the retail price is just crazy!

So have you ever used curlformers? How do you manage to make the curls stay longer??

PS. the dress I'm wearing is one of the first dresses I've ever made with Gracie.

Defy The Cold Outfit

Hello everyone! Today the weather was extra cold but I couldn't care less cause I wore my new crop top. It wasn't my brightest idea but this top is really cute and I never really wear it. These days I'm preparing for Christmas and I haven't found a perfect dress yet. Why it is so hard to to find a pink cut out full skirt dress?
I'm avoiding to wear black on Christmas or new years eve cause I don't feel festive enough with dark colors. Anyway as you can see I'm wearing again my circle lenses and I forgot once again to make a review. I should make one really soon.
Have you found your Christmas dress yet?

Feeding Stray Kittens

Hello everyone! Today we went with Efi to feed some stray cats. Athens is a city full of stray animals since there is no initiative for their protection. I wish there was a shelter to take care of them and neutralised them cause the number of their population is getting bigger every year.
The residents in our area are feeding every day those cats and they try to provide medical care to most of them but the lack of any organisation makes the prospect of a permanent solution impossible.
These cats are super friendly and when they hear people approachhing they always gather up to feed and pet them. Some of them are shy and they don't want so much affection but they are all so cute!
Efi brought with her plenty of food to feed them all but magically it disappeared in one second. They must have been really hungry or they are used to eat really fast whatever they can.
I wish I could take them all home with me..Do you take care of stray animals?

Christmas Shopping

Hello everyone! This weekend I went for a very special shopping.. Christmas shopping! I love Christmas and all the celebrations. I've already decorated my tree but I wanted more cute stuff to fill the house. So I found these little pink houses which seem like candy but it's plastic so unfortunately can't be eaten.
I tried to find a gingerbread house but in Greece the shop owners don't even know what I'm talking about. Next stop in my quest are the pillows... I loved the ones with the snowman and I bought a couple of them.
Also I saw these amazing pillows with the small and bigger cats. I wish they had them in pink.

Last but not least what could be more festive than a sheep. II really don't know why but these little sheeps were placed in the Christmas section. Is it something I'm missing?
What have you bought to decorate your house this year?

London Trip : Regent's Park

Hello everyone! Today we'll be sharing with you a part of our London pictures! Our favorite day was by far the day we visited the Regent's Park. We've already visited Green Park and Hyde Park last time we went to London. The park is really large (116 hectares) and was designed in 1811 and has a huge variety of roses which unfortunately were mostly dead due to the cold.. I bet it will look beautiful in spring though..
The remaining plants were also really beautiful and the park had all these cute ducks and squirrels so we definitely weren't disappointed. As you can see above, there were maps of the park at every exit which were actually really useful or else we would be lost for hours.
We took loads of pictures in the parks so there will definitely be a follow up post in the near future. Above you can see Gracie posing with the cute ducklings and below me. We took approximately 6 videos of the ducks since we both love them.
The ducks are free to go wherever they want in the park since none is allowed to touch them. I wonder how come we didn't see any ducks outside of the park. I also wondered why we didn't think of bringing some duck food to feed them as well.
But now that I think about it, these hungry animals would probably just eat us alive...
Of course on our way there we bought food for us, to celebrate going to the park. Well, everything is a reason to celebrate when they offer 3 cupcakes for the price of 2. I always thought that muffins were way superior than cupcakes but that day I realised that I was just eating the wrong kind of cupcakes (thank you Gracie)
Tthe lake is beautiful and you can even rent a small boat and go for a ride. It would be wonderful if I had bought my guitar along so we could serenade each other... or not. Btw just to be fair, the pigeons and the gulls were cute too.
So yeah, please look forward for the next part of our park-photoshoot and have a great rest-of the week!

Skeptical Ella

Hello everyone. I know you haven't seen those round eyes for a while but Ella is back and is ready to solve all the philosophical questions of our age. She's clearly taking secret courses while we are sleeping.
Anyway Ella lately is really nice, she stays more time with us and she seems like she enjoys our company. When she was younger she couldn't stand being in the same room with us, unless she was eating. She doesn't hate us but she a really independent cat.
She is a tough girl, really energetic and smart but she wasn't ever a cuddly cat. Sometimes she comes and sits in my or Daphne's lap and she does it in the most awkward way, she doesn't know where to put her head and she definately doesn't want to be pet while she is sitting there.
Whenever we try to lure her in our arms she refuses. The only way to change her mind is with food and when that's over she won't stay for long..
So what can we do to make her seek for more affection? Is there a method?

Hello everyone! Today is this time of the week that I'm gonna share with you my favorite cat things! Lately I've been searching online to feed my cat obsession! So I gladly present you this list!
First on the list is this cat to the moon t-shirt! I love how happy she looks( yes she is a she..)
Second on the list comes a cute catula pullover! haha catula, I couldn't stop laughing with this name!

Third comes this kitty skirt! I hoped it was a two piece but actually it's just the skirt. I would die to wear a cat outfit from head to toe, cat two piece with cat shoes and a cat headband!

Last but not least this let's be lazy together pillow already has me wishing to go to bed..
That's all for now! I hope you have an awesome weekend full of small and big cats :)

Throwback Thursday #1

Hello everyone! I was looking at some old photos today and I couldn't recognise myself without my blue hair! This photo is from 2011 and I remember vividly the moment it was captured. Back then Daphne and I were attending sewing courses and it was a hard task to go to the lessons cause they were across town. That day we went to the course really late, as always, because we thought it was a good idea to take some photos before for Lookbook..
This is the original post from that time and here you can see Daphne in the same photoshoot. I also remember that I had my hair freshly cut by me! I used to have really long hair but that month I decided to chop them off! Daphne had a recent haircut too, unfortunately I wasn't the hairdresser..

Demure Collar Dress

Hello everyone! Today we went with Daphne at Efis house! Nowadays we are all working hard at different projects so we don't have so much time together as we used to. But today we went there and we played with our 3 cats, yes Ella was there too!
We also watched the semifinal episode of America's Next Top Model, we don't know who won yet..Lately these episodes are getting really boring. Tyra managed in this cycle to eliminate all the good models at the start of the season! Anyway to prepare for this awesome evening I put my collar dress and my circle lenses, cause I literally can't pet cats without my lenses..
So have you ever watched antm episodes? How do you feel about the cycle 20? ( don't spoiler anything we don't know the winner!)

Mary Jane Heels

Hello everyone :) Today I wore for the first time my Mary Jane heels. When I saw the pair I knew that I should take it home. They are not too high(only 5cm, 2 inches) so I can wear them practically all day and they won't hurt my feet.
I love that they are so shiny! I was actually trying to find cute heels for a long time and these are beyond cute!
Also it's important to have some comfortable heels to wear. When I was younger I used to buy the highest heels ever and then I couldn't even move my legs the next day.
Do you ever had the same problem?

Pink Hair Love

Hello everyone, today I'll be posting pictures of my hair and makeup since straightened my hair after so long and really needed to capture this moment. Also I really like the shade of pink that they are right now. It's a mix of directions, special effects and adore dye. I basically just add anything pink I can find and then some purple (got to keep out the yellowness).
I took these pictures with my cellphone after watching Hunger Games with Gracie and Efi. It was a great movie you should definitely see it. But apart from that, has anyone else noticed how hard it is to take selfies with smart phones?? Like I have to guess where the button is or if the picture is actually taken or not. As a result I have loads of blurry and stupid confused pictures. Only these 4 survived.
So yeah, how do you solve the smartphone-selfie problem??

Women Against Feminism?

I understand that feminism is a prohibited word for many people, mainly because patriarchy taught us not to respect women in every possible way. Society and media undress, minimise, ridicule and objectify women as a common process. Women in cinematography are not presented as active characters but more like talking objects. In this society we have all been groomed to hate women, even women hate women. I often hear women say "I'm not like all the other women.." but they have no idea how insulting for them is this phrase. Why would it be a bad thing to be like all the other women? The answer is that society has classified females as the most shameful and negative thing ever. So women in order to adopt the views of society they have to make themselves manlier and  insult their gender as they have been taught!
Seeing pictures like the above literally breaks my heart. I can't breathe thinking that many women out there demonizing feminism cause they don't even know what it means. They haven't even thought about the extra struggles they face because society learned them that they deserve to struggle cause wait... they are women and women are inferior creatures. All I'm saying is that we have a chance to make this world equal, really equal and the only way to do this is to get informed.

Big Bow Dress

Hello everyone! Today I'm wearing my new dress I bought in London! It has a huge bow on it and I'm so happy cause I feel super cute in it! I'm also wearing my new circle lenses. They are called Super Nudy Grey by Geo and they are really comfortable to wear!
They have 14.8mm diameter, which means that they are huge! The first time I tried them I couldn't recognise myself! They change all the proportions of the face. Also the grey color looks like blue I guess cause it definitely matches my hair!
So have you ever tried circle lenses? Do you have a favorite brand or color?
Have a nice week!

Mini Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

Hello everyone, today I'll be sharing with you this really yummy mini chicken pot pies recipe. It's one of these recipes that will sure turn out great each time and everyone will love.  So it is a great idea to make lots when having people over but bear in mind that it usually takes 1-2 pies to fill up a person.

2 chicken breast -cubed
1 cup of sliced carrots
2-3 sliced bell peppers
1 cup of mushrooms
as much bacon as you like
1 onion
2/3 cup of milk
salt & pepper
pie crust

Preheat the oven. Ina saucepan cook the chicken with the onion until the it turns white, If you cut large cubed you may need to boil the chicken before continuing to the next step!

Add all the vegetables and continue cooking for 10 mins.

Add the milk and continue cooking until thick. Make sure the chicken is well cooked!
Butter your pan and place the pie crust on top. Start filling each pie with the mixture and carefully cover them with crust. Make small slits on the top to let the steam escape
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the pastry is golden brown. Let it cool down before serving!
And there you have it! 6 beautiful little chicken pot pies ready to eat. You can add much more ingredients to this recipe to make it more gourmet but I prefer quick and yummy food myself.

Please let us know if you will try it out and share with us your results!

Have a great week everyone!
